The Akashic Records and the Human’s Reason for Existing

One of the most essential questions that almost every human being, at some point in our lives, have genuinely asked and persistently tried to answer is: Why do we exist on Earth?

Several human movements have attempted to provide answers. Philosophy has paved way for the writing of many philosophical principles and theories that answer the question, and science has tried to provide  its own answers by venturing and investigating on the true origin of the universe and man so as to simultaneously discover why we are here. All religions have been established in an effort to make sense of our lives and our origins. Even without resorting to the answers suggested by these formal institutions and bodies of knowledge—we, on our own, have formulated a plethora of hypotheses. Many would say that we exist because of an encompassing, unifying yet abstract concept called love.

Striving to know why we exist, what our purpose is in going through this physical world, is a common collective endeavour—precisely because we want to know the essence behind witnessing and taking part in all the joys and pains of our worldly experiences. We also want to know the best lives that are destined for us to lead, and furthermore, we want to know the hidden truths about our being. However, our physical realities cannot fully explain the reason— which explains why answers to the question vary from one individual to another; which is why future generations will only give birth to more and more answers and a definitive one remains elusive.

However, for those of us who believe that we exist for a higher cause than what our mere physical realities dictate; for those of us who believe that we do not merely live in the world to eventually die; for those of us who believe that existence does not end with physical death—an answer is in place, and it is very much present rather than hidden. For us believers, the single ultimate answer is more than enough. We can access this answer through an awareness of who we truly are—which can be sparked and provided by the Akashic Records.

The Akashic Records are chronicles of all the activities that have ever transpired—including all aspects of one’s existence such as thoughts, actions, all life events both small and large, and all our emotions. The chronicles of the Akashic Records are vast and difficult to fathom: These are able to contain even the most minute information and the plethora of details, because of the energy that was employed in order for the said “activities” to transpire. This energy allows each and every single moment, emotion, thought, and deed leave an energy imprint into the substance named aether or “akasha”.

Free will and the pursuit towards the Divine Source

The Akashic Records are located in the spiritual realm, and not on the physical plane where we currently live in as human beings.  However, despite the fact that it can only be accessed somewhere beyond our physical realm, we are wholly capable of doing it—precisely because we are human spirits. This explains why our attempts of answering the question of “why do we exist?” cannot be fully complete if we constrict ourselves through merely exploring physical realities. Our nature as human spirits, too, indicate why despite currently living as physical entities, there are ways in which we can find the single ultimate answer to the essential question regarding why we exist.

By simply existing, the Akashic Records already confirm not only the existence of a spiritual realm—but also the existence of a Source, or a Center that holds all things together. Differing religions and belief systems also impose varying labels to this “center”. For some, the center of everything that exists is God. Yet even if non-Christians do not believe in the God as perceived by Christians, most of them also have their own notion of “god”. The binding notion, despite differing religions and principles, is the notion of a Center.

Taking from the Holy Scriptures, as is indicated in the Book of Genesis, we are created by God in His own image and likeness. Other religions and belief systems say a similar notion—that we have been created by, and out of, the Center or the Source. This collective principle, no matter how differently worded or labelled, shows an important and irrefutable truth—that we have first existed as human spirits, even before we treaded the physical plane or world.  As such, the goal as to what we exist for is ultimately to unify with our Source. This is a destiny that we all must focus on achieving, which means that all our efforts in this physical realm must be exhausted for the aim of being a companion of the Center or Divine Source, from where were originally came.

Yet despite the presence of this fated reason for why we exist--  we must not find a paradox with the said ultimate “destiny”, along with our free will as physical entities. Yes, we have been created and formed for the single ultimate purpose; but along with this, we were simultaneously bestowed with free will.

The free will that we can exercise at our own discretion is ultimately the first gift of God to all human spirits. By definition, then, this free will translates to the human spirit’s capacity for self-growth and transformation. Having been bestowed with free will, our spiritual existence then will pave way for physical existence—the realm where we can fully apply our free will. It is the realm where we have to make choices. It is the plane of existence where we can transform ourselves and grow—in order for us, in the end, to finally achieve our initial and ultimate goal.

Thus, our nature as physical entities indicate our status as free beings that can express and realize ourselves. As we go through this world and face every hurdle and happy instance, we are simultaneously  confronted with several choices— and our spirits are simultaneously transformed with the aid of our physical existence through the experiences we have, and the decisions we make.  The gradual transformation and self-finding allow us to inch closer towards being reunited with God—to being one with our Source.

The Akashic Records— because of its vast resource that can tell us how we have been doing in the past until the present, the right and wrong things we have committed along with our intentions, and the possibilities that we can achieve in the future— is the essential guide that will help see us through the right path towards the Divine.
